Uttar Pradesh: Meritorious Fatehpur student commits suicide, despite getting 95.3 pc marks in 10th Board for THIS reason

Fatehpur: A meritorious student allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself after failing to get satisfactory marks in class 10th board examination, in Jafarganj area of Fatehpur district in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, a police officer said here.
 
Superintendent of Police (SP) Uday Shankar Singh said that Sakshi Devi (16), a resident of Pandeypur village, was class 10th student at Krishna Inter College in Firozpur. "In UP board exams while Sakshi got 95.3 percent marks, the school topper received 95.8 percent marks," he said.
 
He said Sakshi was not satisfied with her marks and was under depression since the result was announced.
 
"On Wednesday morning she hanged herself from a tree and committed suicide," Singh said.
