Bengaluru: People in the city on Tuesday saw a soul-stirring video wherein a woman burnt alive in a flat that caught fire in Devarachikkanahalli near Bommanahalli in southeast Bengaluru.
The woman was seen screaming for help as the fire in her flat was fast spreading. She could not make an exit and jump from the iron-grilled balcony.
South-East DCP Srinath Joshi said one person has been admitted to hospital and two others are suspected to be trapped inside.
Ramkrishna, a fire official, said they rushed to the spot around 4.45 pm and deployed three fire vehicles to bring the fire under control and rescue those trapped.
He, however, did not give more details including the cause of the fire. "We are waiting for details to be given by the police. Right now I cannot tell more than this," Ramkrishna said.
The fire had broken out in Ashrith Aspire apartment, he added.
Further details are awaited. (UNI)
