Birthday Special: Is AB De Villiers in the eve of his career?

Centurion: If I ask you, who is one of the most loved abroad cricketer in India? The answer will surely be a three letter word ABD. AB de Villiers has such a huge fan following among Indian fans that they cheer for him even if he is stroking the ball against Men in Blue. While his fans in all across the world wish ABD on his 33^rd Birthday, they face a harsh reality. The injuries and bad form have raised a question which will be soon discussed in cricketing fraternity. Is it the right time for AB to hang the boots?

AB celebrates his birthday a day after India hands Africa a humiliating series defeat by 4-2.  He was out of cricket due to fitness issues for almost a year. After his comeback, he was not looking like the old Mr. 360 Degree on the ground. Neither he performed in Champions Trophy nor maintained consistency in test cricket. In recently concluded series against India, he scored around 60 runs in 3 innings. Clearly, the performance is not matching his name, but at present it looks like South Africa needs AB more than AB needs South Africa. (WD)
