Tejasvi Surya first MP to finish Ironman challenge of 1.9-km swim, 90-km bike ride, and 21.1-km run

Panaji: In a groundbreaking achievement, Tejasvi Surya made history on Sunday by becoming the first Member of Parliament to complete the demanding Ironman 70.3 endurance race in Goa.
 
Surya tackled the rigorous challenge, which involved a 1.9-kilometre swim, a 90-kilometre bike ride, and a 21.1-kilometre run, showcasing remarkable endurance and determination. His successful completion of the race marks a significant milestone for public representatives in India, inspiring many to embrace fitness and an active lifestyle.
 
Upon finishing the race, Surya expressed pride in being a pioneer among politicians and credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Fit India initiative as a major motivator. "Participating in the Ironman 70.3 is a testament to the importance of fitness and perseverance.
