In a nail-biting final at the Kensington Oval on Saturday, India emerged victorious in the T20 World Cup, defeating South Africa by a narrow margin of 7 runs. This win ended a 17-year title drought for India in the T20 World Cup, marking a significant achievement for the team and their ardent supporters.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, India posted an impressive total of 176/7 in their allotted 20 overs. However, South Africa's chase saw them finish at 169/8, falling just short of the target.

After stunning win, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli announced their retirement from T20 internationals.
