10-year-old boy thrown off plane for refusing to wear seatbelt in Colombia, VIDEO goes viral

A 10-year-old boy in Colombia was kicked out of a plane along with his father after the kid refused to sit down and fasten his seatbelt for takeoff, reported New York Post.

The episode occured on Latam flight 4049 from Santa Marta in Colombia and was heading towards the capital Bogota when the 10-year-old refused to obey cabin crew's instructions.

The flight was delayed by more than an hour because of the incident.

As a result, the captain left the runway and returned to the gate where the child was removed.

The footage of the child being kicked off a plane after he refused to wear his seatbelt has appeared online.

In the viral video, a flight attendant can be seen informing the passengers that the flight could not proceed as egulations had not been complied with.

"Dear passengers, we inform you that if the flight regulations are not complied with, we cannot start the flight. They were not complied with, we had to return. And now we are waiting for the passengers who did not comply with the regulations to please disembark. We cannot start the flight this way due to safety," the flight attendant said.

However, a woman could also be heard in the background saying, "He has rights, it's a child."

Ultimately, the boy and his father were escorted from the plane by security personnel.
