A disturbing video of a woman brutally thrashing her minor son has sparked outrage on social media.
The shocking incident took place in Jhabreda, Haridwar of Uttarakhand.
Taking note of the viral video, Haridwar Police revealed that it is nearly two months old.
The police said that the woman and the child are undergoing psychological counseling.
The woman, frustrated with her estranged husband, thrashed her minor son to send a message to him about their children's plight due to his lack of financial support. The video was recorded by the woman's elder son, also a minor, at her request.
After receiving the video, the woman's husband shared it on social media, where it went viral.
The viral video footage shows the woman sitting on her son, punching him repeatedly, biting him, choking him and banging his head to the floor.
