Kozhikode: Kerala BJP courted a controversy after the launching of its state-wide Padayatra's campaign song calling upon its workers to fight against the corrupt government at the Centre led by its own party leaders.

The campaign song was launched recently in connection with Kerala BJP President K Surendran's state-wide Padayatra ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The song calling upon people to join together to fight against the Centre which is known for corruption. The controversy erupted after the sharing of its lyrics in the party's official YouTube channel.

Later, the song that went viral was removed from the party's official social media handles finding it as a mistake on the part of the party IT Cell.

Meanwhile, the party president's yatra triggered another controversy after the release of a poster stating that he will be having lunch with SC/ST leaders.

Responding to the issue, various leaders of SC/ST communities said this poster shows the upper caste mindset of the current party state leadership who are against the most backward classes and poor sections of the Hindu society in Kerala.
